The Penn State Equestrian Team, established in 1971 at Eastwood Farms in Bellefonte, is comprised of about 60-70 members who have an interest in horses and English hunt seat riding.

For the 2007/2008 season, the Penn State Equestrian Team was first in Zone 3 for the the sixth consecutive year to earn a spot to compete in the 2008 IHSA National Horse show, held in Los Angeles, California. Congratulations to Nationals team: Andrew Kennedy (walk-trot), Katie Norris (walk-trot-canter), Lauren Klutchka (novice flat), Stephanie Zawatski (novice fences), Lena Ohta (intermediate flat), Jessica Hoy(intermediate fences), and Sam Pandolfi (open flat and fences). Congratulations also to our individual rider, Taylor Jaros (walk-trot).
